Spice

This is the swatch I'm working with right now. I started on this kit in January and put it aside. Originally it was called Pumpkin Pie because I got inspired by a wonderful smelling candle I had burning at home at the time.

Now, I've picked it back up, improved the papers I had with some grunge overlays Jenn made for me, and started to work on some elements.

You can see that I have named the colors. I like to do that. It gives me a feel for where I'm going. Kind of solidifies the theme. In this case, I ended up changing the name of the kit when I did that since the names aren't Pumpkin Pie-like.

Paprika, turmeric, cinnamon and cumin. The cut up in me is tempted to call the kit Spice World, Spice Up Your Life, or Posh Spice.

Anyway, more on this kit later when it is closer to complete. Just wanted to share.

That's kind of how I got into blogging. And, digi scrapping, too, for that matter. Anyway, here's a start to yet another of a zillion blogs in the world from one of the million digi scrap designers.

I know you are probably wondering where the name comes from. Monkey Valley is a pet name for my husband's hometown (and could be for my similar sounding hometown, as well). He has adopted this moniker for his own website and fantasy football league. As they say, what's good for the gander is good for the goose (or, they sort of say that).
