Her name

We're cleaning house today and for a break, I found another challenge to work on. This one involves scrapping about someone's name and where it came from, etc. I chose to do Lizzie:

Moon Faerie Alpha by Lorie Davison

Hinges from Water Spirits by Lorie Davison

Papers, raffia ribbon and glittered heart with wings from Paint the Moon's Chloe's Treasure

I used a standard Photoshop action (Aged Photo) on the pictures so that the colors would all "match" since each picture was taken in such different lighting.

Favorite vacation photo

Love this photo of the kids from our spring break trip this year. They were actually being nice to each other!

Grandpa and me

I need to be doing other things, but I keep scrapping. This is an old photo of my dad and Lizzie that I love. I've actually scrapped it for my printed book already, but it fit for another challenge I saw, so I pulled it out again:

The kit I used is Michelle Coleman's Savoir Faire. The paper tear in the middle is my own and the one in the corner is by Jen Caputo. The little tiny alpha is from the Vintage Dreams kit that you get free when you subscribe to Little Dreamer Designs' newsletter. I have really used that kit and have become a real fan of the site. Watch them every Wednesday...there is always at least one item for sale for $1.

Oh, and check out this layout which I saw in their gallery. It inspired my layout, but mine is no where near as pretty.

Aquarium

Another challenge, another layout. This one was a scraplift challenge that really pushed me because this is not at all my style. I don't begin to know how people arrange so many different elements and end up with layouts that look so good. Here's the layout I lifted from:

The layout is by Studio Girl Lorie Davison and the kit she used is Impressions of Romance. Lorie is really an artist and her kits are amazing and so unique. (I used her Beep Bugs and an alpha of hers for the layout of Lizzie's coupon gift that I posted two posts ago.)

Here's my lift of her layout, which I turned on its head because the photo I chose had a fish I decided would be perfect for the outside of the frame portion of the layout:

I used Lorie's Water Spirits Collection for the layout and will use it alot for summer water layouts, I'm sure. (I have to admit something here...I've never spent that much on one purchase, but I really do think it was worth it.)

Field Day

After a long, busy week, I decided to spend some time scrapping. I found a challenge at Oscraps that included a really nice template by Sue Cummings and I completed this layout in a very short time:

Happy Mother's Day

Lizzie loves to shop, so when she was given a coupon to complete for Mother's Day, she didn't think one second about filling in something like "a hug":

Box in bottom corner from Paint the Moon's Boxed in Set Three

Alpha is Lorie Davison's Talking Flowers Alpha

Everything else is from Lorie Davison's The Beep Beep Bugs Kit

He graduates

I am almost finished scrapping 2005! Steve graduated with his education degree in December of that year, and here is my layout for it:

This is a real conglomeration of products, again:

Dark purple paper was one I made and sold once upon a time in my Sugar and Spice kit.

Frame for main photo, lighter purple paper and the swirl with glitter from Gypsy Couture's Luscious Mini-Kit

Wire and alpha (includes several different glitter backgrounds to use behind the chrome blocks) from Flerg's String 'Em In-Chrome

Mat to cut the light purple paper from Michelle Coleman's Decorative Edge Mats: Masks and Overlays

Negative strip from Jackie Eckles' Modern Kit
