Challenges Galore! Deal of the Week!
SOTB has rolled out a challenge extravaganza and it is awesome. There are so many different challenges to participate in and for each one you do, you get a posting bonus. Better yet, the posting bonuses all coordinate, so the more you do, the more you have to work with. Kind of like a mega kit...just for playing!
Here's what I've done so far this month:

That is for the template challenge. I love these because Jill gives out a great template each time. Click on the image for credits (that is one of the really pretty Spectrum of Love charity kits at work there).
Then, for the technique challenge, I did my first Out of Bounds (OOB) layout. I would definitely want to tweak the frame and shadow to get it more realistic looking, but I had fun doing this. This picture was perfect for the challenge:

Again, click on the image for credits (that is Sweet Summer from Donna Pelletier).
This morning when I got the SOTB newsletter, I saw that Sarah Kendall is having the special of the week...50% off of her store. So, I picked up a few kits of hers. I'd been admiring Luna Azure for awhile, so 50% off was irresistable and while I was at it, I also picked up My Lad Sunshine and Grey Blue Eyes:

Click on images for links to items in her store. I will definitely use some of these to do some of the other challenges in the forum this month. Scrap lift challenge...definitely going to do that. Scripture challenge...oh yes! After a few months of this challenge, we'll have made a fruit of the Spirit mini album! Anyway, thank you SOTB designers!

Queen of the Crop Week 2
The second Queen of the Crop challenge was to share a dream in a layout. Well, I dream about having an adventure with my husband some time in the future when we don't have childrearing responsibilities to occupy us full time. The Amazing Race would be just such an adventure:

Queen of the Crop Week 1
You may have noticed the Queen of the Crop blinkie over on the sidebar. I have entered this fun contest at Scrapbookgraphics and this is my first week's entry:

You can see all about it by clicking on the image, including credits, what this part of the contest was about, and all of that. If you vote for my layout, you will get a goodie bag of things from four of the designers at SBG. I just got it last night and it is huge! I can't wait to play with what was in there...and to see what they have for next week's vote!
VOTING LINK no longer valid. Link above is now to gallery. Credits: Fiery Fall by Traci Simms, other elements by Jenn Trippetti (clock from Auntie's Attic), Nancy Comelab (photo frame) and Yvette Sanders (stapled alpha, sheet music and ledger papers all no longer available for purchase).
