I started out as a paper scrapper. I never was an elaborate scrapper, but my books tell the story of my family and our lives. Almost everything is done in double page spreads and there is generally a good bit of journalling. As a yearbook geek, I have a need to caption every picture...or at least try to. This digi scrap of mine is a pretty good representation of my paper scrapping style...right down to the white space that was almost always a part of my layouts:

Kit: Cherry Blossom Full Set by Terri MilsteadWhen I started digi scrapping, it seemed like many of the layouts I was seeing in galleries were ones with just one picture on them. I've done my share of those kinds of layouts, but when I'm scrapping for my books, I still try to get a lot of pictures on a page...and a lot of words. At our FAB50 crop on July 20, I brought to the group a lot of examples of multi-picture layouts from the SOTB gallery and I'm sharing them here now for those who were and weren't there.
First up are several layouts by
SOTB Designer Tracy Marie Reed. This one is done using a template and has a lot of pictures on it that really don't need words to tell the story. I know a lot of you can relate to having tons of pictures from one event...and here is a good way to show them all off. (Hint: This template is FREE!)
Kit: Window Overlay Sampler by Andee Creative WorksNext up from Tracy is this gorgeous layout. I hope you can all see how easy it would be to take this layout and add journalling. The way she has one larger photo makes this just as eye catching as any one photo layout, but it packs more into it because there are more pictures to see.
Kit: Autumn Elegance by Angela SharrowOne more from Tracy. This one, again, could easily have journalling and captions added to it. She showcases great photos and a lot of elements from the kit and it still is a clean, appealing layout.
Kit: Petal Pizazz by Yvette SandersSpeaking of Yvette, here are a couple of her layouts that caught my eye. I love how she has lined the outside of the page with photos and put the journalling right in the middle.
Kit: Primary Grunge by Yvette SandersHere is a similar layout by Yvette, but this time she left the middle open and used that space to feature nice elements and papers from the kit that serve as a headline for the page.
Kit: Boys of Summer by Yvette SandersHere is a spectacular sports themed double page spread by Elizabeth Lane, SOTB's crop queen. This looks like a print ad to me. And, just look how many pictures she got in!
Kit: In the Game-Shoot 2 by Elizabeth LaneSOTB Designer Lorraine Yuriar fit a lot of pictures and journalling on this neat layout. The font is great because it looks like the page was handwritten.
Kit: Tough Guy by Jennifer TrippettiSpeaking of Jenn T., she has created these wonderful cork board alphas that are just begging to be filled up with pictures and journalling. Here's her layout about her baby girl's bathtime.
Kit: Cork Alpha by Jennifer TrippettiAnother multi-pic bathtime layout was done by Blythe Evans. Anyone with kids knows what it's like to have three million bathtime pictures by the time the baby is 6 months old. This layout could be easily modified to allow room for more pictures...or to use for non-bathtime layouts.
Kit: Bubbles-n-Duckies by Erika TenneyBlythe's kit was used by Amber (TMKA) in this layout about fun in the pool. Look at the magazine style journalling that will look wonderful in a printed version of this layout.
Kit: Aqua Steel by Blythe EvansOne last multi-pic layout for you is a reminder that there are a lot of jiffy page sets out there that will help you get more pictures on a page. This is a scrap by Juliana (esmom98) using a jiffy page by Angela Sharrow. Isn't it striking?
